Project Objectives and Evaluation
Project Objectives:
The focus of the project is to move from knowledge of technology to
application in the classroom setting. Our efforts will be focused in four
areas as we help our teachers fit together the pieces of the technology puzzle.
1. Hands-On Workshops with Teachers
- to demonstrate effective classroom use of instructional television and video conferencing
- to provide activities in searching for available cable and internet resources
- to provide instruction in the use of all the technology available at Visitation Academy.

2. Independent Study Sessions
To provide independent study/training online through the use of a special staff development
web site prepared by the grant director. http://users.marz.com/~helenp/
3. Work Sessions with Tech Staff
To provide work sessions for teachers with technology support persons to develop projects
and instructional strategies that will maximize the effective use of all available
technologies as they relate to their particular grade level and/or subject area.

4. Development of Technology Integrated Projects
To pull together the information and skills acquired in the workshops, independent study and
work sessions to develop a technology integrated project for use in the classroom.
Plan for Evaluation:
1. Teachers will evaluate the effectiveness of workshops, independent study web site and
work sessions in terms of their impact on teaching practice.
2. Curriculum projects and instructional strategies will be evaluated for effectiveness
including recommendations for improvement to enhance the project in the future.
3. Participating teachers will share student outcomes/products in a final report/meeting.
